Car Burglarized in Cherry Lawn Park
A thief gained access to a vehicle by smashing a window, police said.

DARIEN, CT—Police are investigating an isolated car burglary that happened in the Cherry Lawn Park parking lot July 19.
A $100 purse, $20 to $30 in cash, six to seven credit cards, a photo ID and an iPhone 6 were stolen from a Honda Odyssey van while a family played in the park.
The thief gained entry by smashing a window, police said.

Police noted that there were many families in the park at the time. The victim reported seeing a black mid-size SUV back into the spot next to the Odyssey.
No fraud was reported on the credit cards.
