Car Part Stolen From Vehicle Parked In Darien: Police

The owner also reported her car's exhaust had been disconnected and was found resting on the ground beneath the vehicle.

DARIEN, CT — A vehicle's catalytic converter was stolen while parked in the Darien Train Station parking lot on Squab Lane last week, according to police.

In a news release, Police Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said the owner of the vehicle told officers when she returned to her vehicle on Jan. 21 around 6 p.m., she discovered the car's exhaust had been disconnected and found it resting on the ground beneath the vehicle.

According to Skoumbros, the catalytic converter was cleanly cut from the car's exhaust system. No other damage was to the vehicle was noted.
