Car Stolen From Driveway In Darien: Police
A 2020 Land Rover was reported stolen from a Darien driveway over the weekend, according to police.

DARIEN, CT — A 2020 Land Rover was reported stolen from a Darien driveway early Saturday morning, according to police.
In a news release, Sgt. Dan Skoumbros said the owner of the vehicle told officers they were staying at a house on Kona Road when the homeowner heard dogs barking and the Land Rover starting around 5:15 a.m.
The owner of the vehicle looked out a bedroom window and saw the car driving away. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside at the time of the theft, Skoumbros said.

Around 6 a.m., Greenwich police spotted the stolen vehicle near exit 5 northbound on Interstate 95. A few minutes later, a Darien officer noticed the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I-95 northbound.
Around 8 a.m., Land Rover reported the vehicle was being tracked in New Haven but was still in motion. The car was ultimately found in New Haven around 7 p.m.
