Car Stripped of Parts in Darien: PD

A few important parts, including the steering wheel and airbag were missing.

DARIEN, CT — A woman discovered that her car had been stripped of some parts after she parked it on West Avenue April 6.

The woman parked the car in the Lanphier Spa parking lot from 11:10 a.m. to 1:10 p.m.

When she came back she noticed the trunk lid, steering wheel and airbag were missing, police said.

The trunk lid was removed from the assembly arms and the registration plate was taken. The approximate value of stolen items is $3,000.

No other cars in the lot were disturbed.
