Car Thefts, Burglaries Reported Recently In Darien: Police
Police said they responded to several reports of car thefts and burglaries around the July 4 holiday.

DARIEN, CT — Several car thefts and car burglaries have been reported recently in Darien, according to the latest crime update from police.
On July 4 at approximately 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of a car burglary on Hope Drive.
A man found his 2016 Volvo XC90 had been entered and rifled through during the early morning hours of July 3 by a suspect dressed in black, police said.

Later in the day around 4:45 p.m., officers responded to Palmer's Market on Heights Road where victims reported their 2024 white Porsche Cayenne S Coupe was stolen from the parking lot.
On July 5, according to police, officers responded to a report of a stolen white Tesla sedan on Holly Lane. The car was later found abandoned a few houses away.

The owner noted that his wallet was missing, police said.
While officers were investigating the stolen Tesla, they discovered that a black Jeep Grand Cheroee was stolen from a driveway, also on Holly Lane, at 4:37 a.m., police said.
The Jeep was later recovered in Bridgeport and two people were arrested, police added.
