Cash Register Stolen From Darien Restaurant, Cops Say
The theft was reported at the Post Road eatery on March 18.
DARIEN, CT — A cash register containing about $300 was reported stolen from Blue Wave Taco on the Post Road in Darien on March 18, according to police.
The theft, believed to have occurred sometime during the overnight hours between March 17 and 18, was reported to police by the owner after employees found the rear glassdoor had been shattered.
"Just inside the broken door was a brick, suspected of being used to break the glass and gain access into the business," wrote Darien police in a statement. "Once inside, employees noticed the cash register was missing. The register was reported to have approximately $300 in the drawer."

Detectives processed the scene for evidence, and the case remains under investigation.
