Cash Stolen From Day Spa In Darien: Police

DARIEN, CT — An unidentified man last month stole $200 in cash from a register at the Lanphier Day Spa on West Avenue in Darien, according to police.

The theft occurred on Dec. 22 and was captured on surveillance video.

"Officers were shown video of a white male entering the room [where the money was located] on the date in question and taking money from the register," wrote Darien police in a statement. "The suspect places the money in his pants pocket and immediately exits the business."

No further description of the suspect was released, and one at the business recognized him. But Darien police detectives are continuing the investigation.
