Cash Stolen From STAR Group Home In Darien: Police
The theft was initially discovered in February.

DARIEN, CT — Cash totaling $3,400 was reported stolen late last month from the STAR group home on Edgerton Street in Darien, and police believe they may have a suspect in the theft.
According to police, the money was discovered missing in February during a routine business audit. Soon after, an investigation was launched.
"An employee who had access to petty cash receipts, and who was recently terminated, was developed as a potential suspect," wrote Darien Police Capt. Donald B. Anderson in a statement. STAR, which has facilities in Fairfield County, is a not-for-profit organization that works with people with developmental disabilities.
