Cherry Lawn Playground Brick Fundraiser Launched
Residents will have the chance to be a part of the new playground. Construction is set to begin in mid-April, Darien Parks & Recreation says

DARIEN, CT — Construction on the new Cherry Lawn Park playground is set to begin in mid-April, according to the Darien Parks & Recreation Department, and residents will have a chance to be a part of the new amenity.
Cherry Lawn Park will get a major renovation thanks to a federal grant, and improvements will include new playground equipment and flooring.
However, the current path is not long enough to connect the parking lot to the playground, so a fundraiser has been launched to extend a new ADA-compliant walkway.

"We are very excited to start construction on a new playground at Cherry Lawn Park in mid-April!" Darien Parks & Rec says on its website. "To make the new playground accessible for our smallest residents and those who may need assistance, a brick walkway will be built leading to and connecting the new playground areas."
Residents can purchase a personalized 4-by-8-inch brick with three lines of text ($250), or an 8-by-8-inch brick with six lines ($400) or three lines with a design — animal/nature/sports options are available.
