CMT Testing this Month for Grades 3-8

Darien Public Schools will administer the Connecticut Mastery Test to students in Grades 3-8 this month.

Darien Public Schools administration has posted a message on the Home page of its website to announce that the Connecticut Master Test will be administered this month to students in Grades 3 to 8. Administrators also posted letters already sent to parents about the testing. Here's the announcement, followed by the text of each letter:

During the month of March, classroom teachers in Grades 3 through 8 will be administering the Connecticut Mastery Test or CMT in reading, writing and mathematics. Also, students in Grades 5 and 8 will take a CMT in science.

Make-up testing Make-up Testing will be administered as needed throughout the testing period It is important that students are in attendance on these days and that they arrive on time.

Students arriving after testing begins will not be allowed to enter their classroom until the end of the testing period.

We recommend that students have a good night’s sleep, a nutritious breakfast, and a positive beginning to their day.

Test results will be sent to the schools and individual student reports will be mailed to parents early in the fall of 2013.
