In perhaps a couple of weeks, a restaurant specializing in a certain round Italian food will be opening it's doors downtown.
Meatball & Co. Will offer different kinds of meatballs, different sauces, various side dishes and sliders, rolls and heroes, said the owner, Joe Criscuolo.
"I wanted to do something fun and different -- something with comfort food, something delicious" he said.
Criscuolo's family has been in the restaurant business for decades as proprietors of Pizza Post in Greenwich, Rowayton Pizza and other eateries in Fairfield County.
After attending the Culinary Institute of America, Criscuolo helped his brother run the Greenwich restaurant and got experience working in New York City, as well.
The restaurant will seat 20 indoors and another 12 outside. It will have six beers on tap and a wine list.
"I'm going to try to use mostly local stuff" for the side dishes, he said.
