"Thanks to our supporters who have shared their time, talent, and treasure over 75 years, we have granted nearly 30 million dollars to fuel local nonprofits and programs that assist our neighbors every day," Domont said according to a news release. "This milestone year is just getting started. We are proud to announce that our popular Designed to Dine event returns on May 1 at Woodway Country Club in a two-part format that is sure to be the talk of the town. Tickets will go on sale in the next month on our website www.communityfunddarien.org."

The evening also included an appeal from Lisa Haas, the organization’s grants director, encouraging residents to serve as Community Grant Volunteers. Volunteers participate in the annual spring grant-making process by reviewing applications, conducting site visits and interviews, and recommending funding allocations.
