Connecticut Weather Forecast: Rain, Brief Warm Up and Later an Arctic Blast

If you’re looking forward to snow in Connecticut in early 2017 then please look away as this forecast isn’t for you. The seven-day weather forecast for Connecticut features no significant snow chances, a brief warm up, which also happens to coincide with some rain showers too.

The forecast really is a tale of two different weeks. The first few days of the week will be warmer and rainy, while the end of the week and next weekend look cold but dry at least for now.

In southern Connecticut there is a 30 percent chance of snow showers on Friday and Sunday. In Hartford and Tolland counties there is no snow at all in the 7-day forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday: Slight chance of some sleet and rain until 10 a.m. and then a chance of rain after 10 a.m. But it will be mostly cloudy with a high temp near 40 degrees.

Tuesday: Some light rain showers are possible until 1 p.m. After 1 p.m. steadier rain moves in and ends after midnight. A half inch of rain is possible on Tuesday/Tuesday night.

Wednesday: Best weather day of the week. Sunshine, high temp into the mid to upper 40s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, cooler, temps into the mid to upper 30s.

Friday: Partly sunny, cooler and a high temp around 32 degrees.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, high temp near 30 degrees.

Sunday: Partly sunny, high temp near 30 degrees.
