Connecticut's Updated 4th Of July And Beyond Weather Forecast

There's a few more chances for thunderstorms this week in Connecticut. Here's the latest details.

Another day, another chance of thunderstorms in Connecticut but overall the forecast for the next two days including the 4th of July holiday looks very good. In fact the forecast for Connecticut looks good until Friday when clouds return and so does the chance for thunderstorms on Friday and Saturday of next weekend.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote Sunday that “A couple thunderstorms are possible (Monday) afternoon. While the highest risk is southwest of us there's about a 50% chance of storms in any given town (Monday). Severe weather is unlikely - but any storm could contain gusty winds.”

Wednesday: Sunny high near 80.

Thursday: Partly sunny, high near 80.

Friday: 50 percent chance of thunderstorms, cloudy, temps in the 80s.

Saturday: Chance of showers and thunderstorms, high in the low 80s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 80.
