Connecticut's Updated 7-Day Weather Forecast

Don't put the summer clothes away just yet, temps are going to increase this week. Here's the forecast for the next seven days.

This is pretty much a near perfect forecast for Connecticut for the next seven days with the exception of a chance for some showers and thunderstorms on Friday and early Saturday. But outside of that you’ll enjoy plenty of sunshine and temps in the 70s to near 80 degrees.

It will be warmer this week than it has been in awhile. WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons, who is returning to the airwaves next Monday after dealing with a major health issue that past couple of months, said, “Here's your forecast on this somber day 9-11. Hard to believe that was 16 years ago already. Beautiful weather locally today with sunshine & 75 to 80 with low humidity. Very enjoyable for outside recess or if you work outside!

“Still watching Irma as it impacts northern Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama today. We are not expecting wind or extreme rain from Irma here in Connecticut. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I plan on giving you the forecast on TV one week from today!!! I look forward to starting our days together again next week!” Simmons wrote on social media.
