Corruption and Incompetence Won

The failure of the Democrats to win two seats on the Board of Education was a victory for corruption and incompetence. It is now highly unlikely that any real change will occur. If you witnessed the Gamm presentation, you realized how serious the situation is. Gamm's presentation was not just an analysis, it was a condemnation. It also made clear that the BOF is as culpable as the BOE. Money was thrown at the problem. There was no understanding of what was required to meet special education requirements. There was no system for tracking students. There were numerous violations of law. With the election outcome, it would now appear that the parents' only alternative is to sue. Gamm has provided a road map for plaintiffs' attorneys. God only knows what would be uncovered using subpoenas and forcing testimony under oath with the threat of perjury. You also have to wonder if there were violations of criminal law. In the future, could we see indictments? For all you fiscal conservatives, breaking the law  is proving to be very expensive.
