Country Club of Darien Hosts NFL Alumni Golf Classic [Video]

The turnout included a number of former NFL players, including members of the Giants' Super Bowl-winning teams in 1986 and 1990

The Country Club of Darien was the site Monday for the fifth annual NFL Alumni Association Connecticut Chapter's Charity Golf Tournament.

The event, which attracted a number of former NFL players, including members of the Giants' Super Bowl-winning teams in 1986 and 1990, featured an 18-hole scramble format.

All the money raised goes to children's charities throughout Fairfield County. Among those in attendance were Steve and Zak DeOssie, who have the distinction of being the only father-son tandem to win Super Bowls with the same franchise.

Steve DeOssie was a linebacker on the Giants' Super Bowl-winning team in 1991 and Zak was a linebacker on the Giants squad that beat the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

Also on hand was Ottis Anderson, the MVP in New York's 20-19 win over the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXV, the first of the Giants' three Super Bowl victories. Each foursome Monday included a former NFL player.
