Creative Opportunities for Kids at the Darien Arts Center

The DAC is offering a Spring Art Workshop this Saturday, March 28 and an April Vacation Camp for children.

The Darien Arts Center is offering the “Spring into Art” Workshop for children ages 5 & up, this Saturday, March 28 from 2-3:30 p.m. Children will paint flower pots, make flower themed collages and take home projects to add a splash of color and celebrate spring. Fee for the workshop is $30 per person. Register by 3/27 at the Darien Arts Center website or call (203) 655-8683.

Another creative opportunity for kids at the DAC is the April vacation camp, “Stretch Your Imagination”, for grades 2 through 5 from Monday April 13 through Thursday April 16. Children will create stories and characters through theatre games that involve movement, improvisation and characterization.

They will also learn about stage makeup application and how to design and make a costume from DAC instructor Nancy Kelly and Kids’ Theatre Director Maggie Pangrazio. Participants will use fabric, paper, beads and buttons to bring characters to life and create props.
