Credit Cards, Cash Reported Stolen At Darien YMCA: PD
The items were stolen from a locker in the women's locker room.
DARIEN, CT — Credit cards and $220 in cash were reported stolen from an unlocked locker in the women's locker room at the Darien YMCA on Dec. 14, according to Darien police. The theft resulted in fraudulent charges that would have totaled about $1,000 if all of them had gone through.
The victim told police that she had placed a bag containing her wallet in an unlocked locker at about 9:45 a.m., and when she returned to the locker at about 10:30 a.m. her wallet was missing, which contained the credit cards, cash and driver's license.
"At [10:48 a.m.] the complainant received a text message that her credit card had been used to make a $743 charge at the Apple store online," police said. "The complainant responded that the charge was fraudulent and the bank declined the charge. When the complainant checked her bank account, she found that two transactions, one for $105.29 and one for $169.10, had been made."

Police said that the victim saw two two men — only described as white — separately "enter the women’s locker room without announcing themselves," but that was the only suspicious activity she observed.
