Danbury Man Recuperating From 2-Boat Collision In Darien: Report
He suffered a broken leg and other injuries in the June 25 crash on Long Island Sound.

DARIEN, CT — A 70-year-old Danbury man is recuperating from a badly broken leg and other injuries from the two-boat collision on June 25 in the waters off Darien, reports the News-Times.
The victim, one of three occupants in one of the boats, also had to be pulled out of Long Island Sound as a result of the 9:45 a.m. crash, which occurred roughly a mile west of Greens Ledge Lighthouse, according to police.
The crash is being investigated by Darien and Norwalk marine police and the United States Coast Guard, which cited the 40-year-old Jersey City, NJ man, who operated the sailboat that initiated the crash, for "Negligent Operations" under the United States Code, said authorities.
