Things have to get better for the Darien boys basketball team because they can't get much worse.
The Blue Wave suffered a 76-34 loss to defending Class LL state champion St. Joseph in their home opener on Friday night.
Darien (0-2) had the misfortune of opening against two of the FCIAC top teams as they Blue Wave were coming off a 70-20 loss at Ridgefield on Wednesday.

On Friday, Kyle Green and Liam Naughton scored nine points apiece for Darien (0-2), which trailed 66-15 entering the final period
Towson-bound Timajh Parker scored 18 points and added Pat Hopkins 17 with six blocks and four rebounds for the Cadets, who were coming off a season-opening 90-35 win over New Canaan.
