Darien Accepting Applications For Justices Of The Peace

DARIEN, CT — The Darien Town Clerk is currently accepting applications for Justices of the Peace.

The application period will be open through Nov. 1. Applicants may not be registered as a Democrat or Republican, according to the town.

Justices of the Peace serve four-year terms. Darien has 30 Justices of the Peace who are all electors of the town.

Ten justices are selected by the Republian Party, 10 are selected by the Democratic Party and 10 are either unafillliated or minor party electors and are selected by the Town Clerk via a lottery system, according to the Town Clerk page on the town website.
