Darien Announces Details For July 4th Fireworks
Darien has announced plans for the town's Fourth of July fireworks.

DARIEN, CT — With the Fourth of July holiday just two weeks away, it's time to start thinking about fireworks.
This week, the Darien Parks & Recreation Department announced that the town's fireworks display will take place at Darien High School on July 14, with a rain date of July 15.

Live music will be provided by the Darien Community Band, and local food trucks will be on-site. There will also be face painting for kids, and a sensory-friendly location for viewers. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
Parking access to the fireworks event will only be accessible via the Noroton Avenue entrance beginning at 6:30 p.m.; all other streets leading directly to the high school will be closed to vehicles. The fireworks show will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

The 2023 Darien resident parking passes are available to purchase for $30.
The limited resident-only parking passes will go on sale starting at 12 p.m. on Monday, June 26. They are available for purchase by Darien residents only and online purchases may be picked up at Darien Town Hall beginning Monday, July 3.
To purchase or pick up in-person, visit the Darien Parks & Recreation Department at Town Hall, room 110, from 8 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Town Hall is closed on Fridays.
Passes must be picked up no later than Wednesday, July 12, whether purchased online or in-person. No refunds will be given.
Access to the school property will be restricted from 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for event personnel and vendors only on July 14.
Access to the fields, track and paths surrounding the fields will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. July 14 to Sunday July 16 at 8 a.m. for safety.
Only vehicles with parking passes will be permitted into the event – passes must be visible on the dashboard prior to arriving at the event to keep traffic moving.
