Darien Announces Planting Plan For Noroton Heights Train Station
The trees and shrubs will be planted by Eversource, the town said.
DARIEN, CT — At the town's urging and with the support of the Department of Transportation, Eversource has agreed to plant 76 trees and shrubs in the area of the Noroton Heights Train Station, according to an announcement from the town.
In a news release, the town said, "This mitigates the many resident concerns regarding the loss of vegetation around the station parking lots, including the area by The Depot."
Drainage improvements have been ongoing on the North parking lot at the station.

The trees and shrubs will be planted in spring 2024, the town said, noting that the Darien Department of Public Works will maintain the new vegetation.
The planting plan has been posted on the town website for review.
