Darien Arts Center Dance Academy Celebrates End of Year with Two Special Performances

DARIEN, CT- The Darien Arts Center Dance Academy is excited to announce two end of year performances celebrating the growth, artistry, and dedication of our dancers. These special events provide families with the opportunity to see the full potential and range of opportunities available to students at the DAC.

The DACDA End of Year Show takes place on Friday, May 29th, at 7:00 pm at the Westport Country Playhouse. This performance showcases our youth dancers through to our graduating students across a plethora of dance styles. The evening features excerpts from a newly choreographed A Midsummer Night's Dream and East Coast Contemporary Ballet original works, restaged and performed by the DACDA pre-professional company. Audiences will witness the full range of movement that our students have mastered throughout the year, from classical ballet to contemporary, partnering, lyrical, Broadway jazz, hip hop, and Latin jazz.

General admission is $40, with discounted tickets for children under 12 and seniors at $30. Tickets are available at westportplayhouse.org.

The Petite Dancers Performance takes place on Sunday, May 31st at the Darien Town Hall Auditorium with three performance times to accommodate our youngest students. Performance A begins at 11:00 am, Performance B at 1:00 pm, and Performance C at 3:00 pm. These mini-performances give our youngest students the opportunity to showcase everything they have learned over the past year in a supportive and joyful setting. Tickets are $10 and available at darienarts.org.

The Darien Arts Center Dance Academy offers instruction in ballet, contemporary, partnering, lyrical, Broadway jazz, hip hop, and Latin jazz for students of all ages and levels.
