Darien Arts Center Offers Creative April Vacation Camp for Children

Kids in grades 2 through 5 can 'Stretch Their Imagination' at the DAC's April vacation camp.

The Darien Arts Center is offering an April vacation camp, “Stretch Your Imagination”, for grades 2 through 5 from Monday April 13 through Thursday April 16. Children will create stories and characters through theatre games that involve movement, improvisation and characterization.

They will also learn about stage makeup application and how to design and make a costume from DAC instructor Nancy Kelly and Kids’ Theatre Director Maggie Pangrazio. Participants will use fabric, paper, beads and buttons to bring characters to life and create props.

The camp will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Campers should bring lunch. A snack will be provided. Fee for the camp is $240 plus a $25 registration fee. Visit the Darien Arts Center website to register or call (203) 655-8683.
