Darien Assistant Named New Football Coach at Fairfield Ludlowe

The coach replaces Vin Camera, who recently resigned after four years as coach of the Falcons.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Less than a month after Vin Camera announced his resignation as Fairfield Ludlowe football coach, longtime Darien assistant Dr. Mitchell J. Ross has been hired to replace him, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Ross has been on the Darien staff since 2003, including the last seven years as the team’s passing coordinator. The Blue Wave went undefeated this past season and claimed the Class LL championship.

Ludlowe Athletic Director Todd Parness told the Post that Ross, who is also a longtime coach in the Darien Junior Football League, is a great fit for the Falcons due to his intent to try and make football a “great experience” for the players.
