Darien Beaches Temporarily Closed Tuesday Due To Storms
Tests have shown elevated levels of bacteria in the water.

DARIEN, CT — Darien's Weed Beach and Pear Tree Point Beach are closed for swimming today, July 23, due to elevated levels of bacteria in the water following the recent thunderstorms, the town's Health and Parks & Recreation departments announced.
Both beaches are expected to re-open for swimming on Wednesday, July 24, according to officials.
