Darien Blanks Fairfield 10-0 in Babe Ruth State Tourney

Coming off is first district championship in 42 years, the Darien 13-year-old Babe Ruth team opened play in the state tournament Saturday with a 10-0 victory over Fairfield.
Andrew Enzor had a single, triple and four RBI for Darien, which takes on host Ridgefield in the winner's bracket semifinals on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ciuccoli Field.
Saturday's contest was stopped after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.
