Darien Boater Rescued in Thunderstorm
The resident's boat took on water and the engine wouldn't start.

DARIEN, CT—Darien Police and other first responders rescued passengers after a boat started to take on water during a severe thunderstorm.
Police got a call August 13 around 8:20 p.m. from a Darien resident who was out on the water with three others. He said his boat was taking on water and the rough seas made it difficult to start the engine.
The boat was located off Long Neck Point. Darien Police, Norwalk Fire and Noroton Fire responded.

Noroton Fire took three passengers back to shore and Darien Police took the operator and his boat back to shore.
