Darien Boys Ski Team starts 6-2 led by Gulick, Fallon & Bell
The Wave boys ski team gets off to a fast start in two back to back races January 9th & 10th.
In the first race of the year, the Darien HS boys ski team made a strong showing. Freshman Chase Gulick was 2nd out of 97 racers with a combined time of 44.84. Sophomores John Fallon (4th place; 45.21) and Jackson Bell (10th place; 45.76) plus captain Jack Lowitz (19th; 46.87) all placed in the top 20.
The following night the boys did it again with 128 racers competing from 12 schools. John Fallon placed 3rd (44.67) , Chase Gulick 5th (44.93), Jackson Bell 11th (45.49) with Jack Lowitz, Connor LaJaunie and captain Alex Barlow rounding out the top 6 varsity racers.
The team next competes at Mt. Southington on January 25th vs teams from the 30+ high schools in the CT Interscholastic Ski League.
