Darien Boys Volleyball Falls To Top Seed Masuk In Class M Semifinals

The Blue Wave finishes 14-8 after a 3-0 loss to the Panthers.

The Darien boys volleyball team lost to top seeded Masuk—25-17, 25-22, 25-15—Tuesday night in the CIAC Class M semifinals at Fairfield Warde High School.

The fifth-seeded Blue Wave, who rallied from a two-game deficit to defeat Wolcott Tech in the quarterfinals, concluded the year at 14-8.

Masuk (21-0) advanced to Friday's final against No. 7 seed Lewis Mills.

Calder Billhardt paced the Blue Wave with 15 kills, while Austin Cockerill added seven kills and one block.

Sam Bryant chipped in with three kills and six digs, and Matt Lee contributed 29 assists.
