Darien Budget Proposal Comes with Increase
The new budget includes a few new positions.
DARIEN, CT — Town Administrator Kathleen Buch has proposed a new town budget that would come with a 1.26 percent increase.
The mill rate would have to increase by .6 mills for the proposal based on the 2015 Grand List, according to the Darienite. The 2016 Grand List hasn't been finalized.
Two new full-time and four part-time positions are part of the proposal, along with reductions in pension and retiree medical costs.
