Darien Cashier Charged with Stealing Register Money: PD
Money had gone missing for three weeks while the suspect was working, according to police.
Darien, CT- A short-lived cashier at Embody Fitness on the Post Road was arrested after cash went missing from the register on several occasions, according to police.

Luis Sanchez, 18, of Darien was hired in late March and over a period of three weeks $778 in cash went missing, police said.

Sanchez was told to leave April 13 and on April 14 his login was used to open the cash register.
He didn't confirm or deny taking money when questioned by police, but said he had opened the register to make change for the bus.

Sanchez was charged with fifth-degree larceny.
