Darien Considers Addition Of License Plate Readers
Police Chief Donald Anderson said the license plate readers would help officers with investigations, The Darien Times reported.

DARIEN, CT — In an effort to reduce crime around town, Darien is considering adding cameras with license plate readers to public roadways, according to The Darien Times.
The idea was first brought up late last month by the Darien Police Commission, the Times reported.
Police Chief Donald Anderson said the license plate readers would help officers with investigations. The issue of stolen cars has plagued Darien and many neighboring towns, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
