Darien Coronavirus Update: 91 Confirmed Cases, State Says
Twenty-eight out of the 91 cases locally are from residents between the ages of 50 and 59.
DARIEN, CT — As of Friday, the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Darien had reached 91, according to state health officials.
According to a new data tracking report, the highest number of cases by age group in Darien is among residents between the ages of 50 and 59, or 28 out of the 91 cases.
Five Darien children between the ages of 10 and 19 have contracted the virus, and 20 residents between the ages of 20 and 39 have been infected, the report says.

By gender, the break down in Darien is closely split, with 46 women and 45 men having the virus.

Statewide, the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase at a daunting pace as of Friday. The virus has claimed the lives of 131 people in Connecticut — 75 from Fairfield County — and the number of cases grew by more than 1,000 in a day to 4,914.
In Fairfield County, the number of new positive cases reached 2,716 as of Friday.
