Darien Couple Arrested After Wife Refuses to Leave Bed
A husband and wife were arrested after a domestic dispute on Old Parish Road.

An Old Parish Road couple was arrested after a domestic dispute.
Police responded to a residence on May 28. A man outside the residence told officers he had an argument with his wife who didn’t want to get out of bed.
During the argument he tipped over and broke an antique bed frame that his wife wasn’t in at the time, police said.

He said his wife saw the broken bed frame and responded by throwing a can of diet coke at him. The can hit him in the shoulder, but didn’t injure him.
The wife told police she had been ill throughout the evening and was sleeping when her husband came in and began to yell at her. He then threw clothes on top of her.

The husband said he didn’t mean for any of the clothes to hit her.
Both are 53-years-old. They were each charged with disorderly conduct.
