Darien Doctor Assistant Sentenced for $40k Theft

DARIEN, CT—A Norwalk woman pleaded guilty tostealing nearly $40,000 from two Darien doctors.

Marisol Garcia, 39, is serving six years in jail for violation of probation and won't serve any more prison time after pleading guilty to first-degree larceny, according to the Stamford Advocate.

She was accused of depositing 30 insurance reimbursement checks and 10 other checks into her own bank account in 2014.

The sentence will run concurrently with her current sentence for violating probation that was related to another first-degree larceny charge.
