Darien DUI Arrest Made

The driver crossed the double yellow line several times, police said.

DARIEN, CT — A Stamford man was arrested after he was found driving while intoxicated in town, police said.

An officer pulled over a Toyota Rav 4 around 2 a.m. April 8 in the area of Leroy Avenue.

The vehicle crossed the double-yellow line three times before being pulled over.

Alex Morales-Mejia, 38, said he was following someone and had come from the Seaside Tavern in Stamford.

He failed field sobriety tests and had a BAC level of .104 and .078, police said. The first result is over the legal limit and the second is under the limit.

He was charged with DUI and failure to drive right.
