Darien Earns Reputation As Easy Target for Car Thieves: PD
Police are hoping the town reverses that reputation.

DARIEN, CT — Darien has earned a reputation it doesn't want; an easy target for car thieves.
Thieves are coming from all over the state in hopes of finding an easy cash score or even an entire car during vehicle burglaries, police said. People become further victimized when stolen credit cards are fraudulently used.
"Once the cars are taken they regularly are involved in high speed chases, accidents, robberies, and drug transactions," police said in a Facebook post.
