Darien Election Turnout Lowest in 20 Years
Darien sees a significantly better turnout for state and presidential election years.
Darien’s voter turnout for the past election was the lowest in the past 20 years.
About 24 percent of registered voters cast ballots, according to the Darien Times. During the past 20 years municipal election turnout peaked at 45 percent in 2005.
The 2014 election saw a turnout of 57 percent and the 2012 presidential election saw a turnout of 84 percent.
