Darien Fender-Bender Results in DUI Charge for One Driver

DARIEN, CT — A 33-year-old Norwalk woman was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence and Following Too Close on Aug. 1, following a two-vehicle crash on the Post Road near Leroy Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the crash, which occurred when the Honda the woman was driving rearended a Mercedes-Benz, writes Darienite.com.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. and officers detected an odor of alcohol on the woman's breath, which led to failed roadside sobriety tests and the arrest.
