Darien Gas Line Project Detailed

DARIEN, CT- Town and Eversource officials are close to an agreement on a $4.2 million project that would lay about 3.5 miles of natural gas lines in town.

Eversource hopes to have service ready by Spring 2017, according to the Darienite.

Developers of major developments in the Noroton heights business district and Corbin Drive/Post Road areas hope to get construction started soon after the lines are complete.

The Board of Selectman approved the plan pending final details that are still being ironed out and the Planning and Zoning Commission must also approve the plan.
