Darien Gets 8-30g Affordable Housing Moratorium
Its the second time the town has earned a moratorium for the affordable housing law.

DARIEN, CT—The Town of Darien has earned another 8-30g affordable housing moratorium.
The state law permits developers to circumvent certain local zoning laws if the project is designated at affordable housing and a municipality has less than 10 person of its housing units designated as affordable.
Four-year moratoriums can be obtained if the town shows that it has two percent of its housing units as affordable, according to the Darien Times.
Darien needed to show it had 141 housing equivalency points.
