Darien Girls Place Third In Class L Track Meet

Led by sophomore and pole vault winner Robin Bone, the Darien girls track and field team finished third at Wednesday's Class L meet in New Britain.

Bone also had top-10s in the 100 meter hurdles and long jump. Darien netted 83 points, placing them below Simsbury, with 99 points, and Windsor, which won the overall women's competition with 122 points. Darien's Christy Gasparino placed first in the 100 meter hurdles and also had two other top-1os.
