Darien Girls Soccer Routs Trinity Catholic

Marieke Bravo recorded a hat trick Friday as the Darien girls soccer team scored early and often in a 9-1 rout of winless Trinity Catholic.

Dillon Schoen added two goals for the Blue Wave, who improved to 4-2-1. Catie Dee, Vanessa Budd, Morgan Sawitsky, and Emily Blosio each scored once.

Darien scored five goals in the first half and four in the second. It might have been more but for the 20 saves made by Trinity Catholic goalkeeper Olivia Duane.

The Crusaders dropped to 0-6.
