Darien Health Fair Set for Oct. 21

Flu shots, blood pressure checks and nutrition tips are just some of the things people can take advantage of during the third annual Darien Health Department health fair.

An article in the Darien Times said the fair will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Mather Center, adjacent to Town Hall on Renshaw Road.

Health department nurses will be administering flu vaccines to those 3 years or older for $15 cash or check.

A flyer from the health department also said people can get their blood pressure, body mass index and oxygen levels checked and their posture assessed.

Ways to reduce stress and increase fitness will be discussed.

Organizations participating in the health fair include the Darien YMCA, Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association, Norwalk Hospital, Whole Foods Market Darien and the Darien Police Department, the Times said.
