Darien High School Set for Football Championship Game
The second-seeded Blue Wave will meet No. 1 Shelton in the Class LL finals Saturday afternoon in New Britain.

Darien, CT - Darien High School looks to cap a perfect season in the Class LL football championship game Saturday.
The second-seeded Blue Wave will tangle with No. 1 Shelton in the finals at Willow Brook Park in New Britain. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
Darien enters the game with an 11-0 record, while Shelton is a perfect 12-0.

Both teams are looking to improve on last year’s runnerup seasons, conducted under a slightly different format. Shelton fell to Xavier 28-27 in overtime in the Class LL-Small finals, while Darien lost to New Canaan 21-20 in the Class L-Large finale.
