Darien Man Arrested After People Hurt in Boat Crash: PD

The man was intoxicated and caused injuries, police said.

DARIEN, CT—A Darien man was arrested after he crashed a boat while piloting under the influence, police said.

The crash happened on Sept. 3 outside of Ziegler's Cove when the boat hit a rock. The boat was totally out of the water and the four occupants were rescued by police and fire officials, police said.
One occupant fractured an ankle and others had bumps and bruises.

Morgan Connor, 40 turned himself in Nov. 12 on an active arrest warrant. A blood test showed his BAC was .19 while the legal limit to operate a vessel is .08, police said.
He was charged with operating a vessel under the influence, reckless boating, operating an unregistered vessel and failure to report change of address.
