Darien resident Brian Gaffney competed at the Whistling Straits gold course in Wisconsin.
Gaffney represented the Quaker ridge Golf Club in Scarsdale, N.Y., according to the Darien Times.
He was ahead of some well-known golfers like Phil Mickelson at one point, but fell behind on Saturday after shooting 78 for the day.
